Miles L. Moran attends Rodeo in Marble falls Texas, its Rodeo time in Central Texas! Folks come as you are and get ready for some good fun, sit back hold on and try to relax as you watch some of the oldest sporting events unfold before your eyes this summer in central Texas and across the country.

Friday July 17th’s performance held true to being the most exciting sporting event in the history of the American cowboy, spectators and contestants alike we’re reunited with the freedom of the old west under a beautiful Texas sky on Friday night. Kayak Rodeo company displayed a very respectable tribute to cowboys and fans across the country, the stock that they had brought was in very good condition despite are drought conditions. I was particularly impressed with the rodeo company’s saddle horses, they we’re extremely lively and alert to the surroundings. One in particular was a big smoky grey white horse that one of the pickup men had the privilege of riding. I watched the horse on many occasions doing its work and was very impressed by the animals thinking abilities in and around the bucking stock, what a sight to see to watch man and an animal act as one!

In all the performance displayed all of the things to make a great event to watch; including a very nimble and quite funny clown. And the announcer had the show nailed as he entertained the crowd while interacting with smurf the rodeo clown in all the pair we’re brilliant and put on a great performance. All through the night the mood was enhanced with good pieces of western songs from the 1970’s one in particular that was a crowd favorite was deep in the heart of Texas, although I did not notice a Texas flag on display the Marble falls rodeo association and Steve Rodgers deserve a big round of applause for keeping this hometown tradition alive.

Of the performances on hand the bareback bronc riding proved to be the toughest event as all of the cowboys were bucked off in a fashion that should give them the idea to get some good schooling for the event. Like anything though if they persist they will soon be making their rides, I hope they do that event is one of the oldest forms of rodeo from off the range when cowboys used to tie their hand on to the back of a rangy bronco and try to stay on the longest the winner was considered the best bronc buster on the range.

In past years the Marble falls rodeo didn’t have saddle bronc riding this fellow here in this picture not only made his ride but he demonstrated some of the good techniques that would match those of some of the best. His draw was a good one on a horse called Bo-dilly named the circuits bucking horse of the year Aaron scored an 83 on the ride, and his chances are good that his score will hold up through to the end of Saturday night’s performance. The steer wrestling was good as well as the break-away calf roping, calf roping, and team roping. All of the contestants deserve a big hand the fellow that got hurt in the bull riding made a very good ride, he showed heart and a true desire to win he deserves a pat on the back and our prayers for him to recover. www.outskirtspress.com/bruskranch Sincerely Miles L.
