Issue About Transgender

Last few weeks, I have read about the news that bothers the Miss Universe Organization after Jenna Talackova joins the Miss Universe Canada pageant who was discovered that he is not a “she” but definitely a he when he was born. He underwent a transgender, changing all his masculine side and turn out “to be” a feminine now.

As of me, I have remembered the beauty queen winner in the Miss Universe 1994, Sushmita Sen when asked, “What is the essence of being a woman?” This question leads to the fact that the woman who participates in the Miss Universe for many years now are totally woman and they don’t even go through transgender-thing.

She answered,  ”Just being a woman is God’s gift. The origin of a child is a mother, a woman. Woman is sharing, she shows a man what sharing, caring and loving is all about. That is the essence of a woman.”

And for Jenna Talackova, what could he answer if he will be asked this way when “she” will join the Miss Universe Canada?

I understand that Canada is  more particular of non-discrimination. But Miss Universe calls for real women who braise themselves to join the contest only hailed for beautiful women like them.

I think that Jenna Talackova will not really qualify for the Miss Universe pageant especially in his country because there are rules that set to be followed and one of them is the candidate for the Miss Universe should born girl, that is, right from the time of her infancy. And for Jenna, unfortunately, he is just not really a real she.
