Danica Patrick and Nascar
Are NASCAR fans ready for a female driver? What is your opinion?

“Gentlemen, start your engines.” This may be a thing of the past starting next year. Just like other IRL drivers, Montoya and Ambrose, Danica Patrick is thinking of giving it a go in NASCAR next year. Even though she will start in the Nationwide races like all other rookies do, is the sport ready for it’s first female driver? There’s plenty of regular drivers looking for a spot for next year. I wonder where and who, will give her a try.
Tony Stewart seems to willing to help her and with his own team maybe he will be the one to give her the job. What about the fans though? Will this help, hurt or not have any affect on NASCAR? I personally don’t follow The Nationwide races as much as the Sprint races. Maybe her joining will help with more people watching thus more money coming into the sport. Drivers? What will their real opinion be? They’ll have to be nice when giving interviews but what will they be really thinking? I’ve seen some of the photo shots she’s done. Reminds me of Anna K. from tennis. Will Danica start out strong only to fade away?
What I really would like to see is Danica and Kyle Busch racing side by side, going for the checker flag.
