Paintball: All You Need to Know

Today I’m going to tell you about the game paintball, and a paintball store in Marietta, Ohio called JJ’s. The store is locally owned and small, but it has everything you need to start paintballing. It also has four fields you can play on for free. All you have to do is buy your paintballs there.

The first field you will see when you go to JJ’s is a speedball field. The game of speedball consists of 3 or 5 man teams. Speedball is not for beginners because you will get hit at close range. The field is made of blue barrels nailed together on their sides and standing up.

The other fields are in the woods. They are known as “woodball”. In woodball the teams can be anywhere from 3 men to 16 men. The obstacles in woodball consists of trees, forts, and pretty much anything that can provide cover. Anybody can play woodball as long as they don’t mind getting hit.

Nowadays, there are pro paintball teams. Usually pro teams are in speedball. They don’t get paid to play, but they don’t have to buy any of their gear. It is given to them. Parkersburg South High School is in the process of making their own paintball team. Some colleges have paintball teams also.

Paintballing is a great, fun, and safe sport. Just go to JJ’s and tell them you want to start paintballing , and they will set you up. Ever since I started paintballing, I can’t stop thinking about it. So what are you waiting on? Get out there and go paintball!
