Airsoft vs. Paintball
The pros and cons of both.

Airsoft
Pros- Realistic looking and feeling guns, compact magazines, greater accuracy with higher grade BBs and guns, more serious playing, as close to war as you can get, more customization, wider range of gun types (sniper rifles, assault rifles, sub machine guns, pistols, shotguns, etc.), fast fps
Cons- Someone could pretend they didn’t get hit, lower grade BBs are affected by the wind easily, low end guns aren’t as fun to play with
Notes: Can be spring, gas, or electric powered. Very realistic. For any serious war game fanatic.
Paintball
Pros- People are marked when hit (proof of fatality), balls have more mass and thus are less affected by wind
Cons- Slow fps, not very sleek, big hoppers, paintballs are big and take up a lot of ammo space
Notes: Most paintball guns are CO2 powered and require that you refill your CO2 tanks most every time. Less serious than airsoft. Not as realistic.
Verdict:
Airsoft is much better for people that want to employ tactics and skill into their war games. With mock-up guns that are similar to ones used on today’s battlefields, airsoft is as real as it gets. Airsoft war games are often played in realistic scenarios such as counter terrorist vs. terrorist, rescue the hostages, and eliminate all the enemy (death match, elimination, whatever you want to call it).
Paintball is for those who can’t aim a rifle so they play in a field that looks like a preschool arts & crafts disaster. Paintball war games often include capture the flag, last man standing, other small team arena matches, etc.
Overall- Airsoft beats paintball hands down in my opinion.

Hah! Airsoft vs Paintball??? Why not just name the article “Why I beileve Airsoft is better than Paintball.”?
Come on! a more biased review couldn’t be found. Airsoft and Paintball are only as “serious” or “realistic” as the participants. I, personally, like Paintball better. Airsoft leaves no mark and so makes it impossible to judge – the only system is the honor system. Try explaining the honor system to 50 various 11 to 20 year old kids! A third of them won’t care! Paint makes cheating harder.
You sound like any snob who believes his sport to be superior to others. I’d like to see you on a professional Sup-Air field after getting hit 15 times in under a second. Walk off that field with 15 different quarter size welts and then say which is “more serious.”
