Surprise! Bautista Wins “Pole Position”
Alvaro Bautista made a surprise at the British Grand Prix qualifying on Saturday (06/16/2012). Honda Gresini rider managed to beat the top riders, so he’s entitled to be in pole position for the sixth MotoGP series, 2012, Sunday (17/6).

Alvaro Bautista made a surprise at the British Grand Prix qualifying on Saturday (06/16/2012). Honda Gresini rider managed to beat the top riders, so he’s entitled to be in pole position for the sixth MotoGP series, 2012, Sunday (17/6).
It was Bautista’s first pole of his career in the premier class. Bautista also returned with the Gresini occupy pole position, after the late Marco Simoncelli put the team on pole last season.
The Spaniard managed to shift the Yamaha rider, Ben Spies, who since the beginning of the session in the top position. When this qualifying session remaining 19 minutes, Bautista broke the record time of Spies, which eventually 0.106 seconds slower.
The third position is occupied Repsol Honda rider, Casey Stoner, who in the last two free practice mastered the Silverstone Circuit, which has a length of 5.902 kilometers. However, the coherence time is not too far, because the world champion in 2007 and 2011 was “only” 0.120 seconds behind.
Meanwhile, the standings leader who is the Spies team mate, Jorge Lorenzo, had to settle for the start of the second row in fourth place. Rossi had crashed during qualifying after just 14 minutes.
