Robert Craig Knievel who made a name for himself by doing heart-stopping motorcycle stunts
has died at the age of 69. Knievel was born in Butte, Montana best known for its copper mines.
Most of his friends and fans were surprised he lived this long.
Knievel was born in 1938, before “Evil” Knievel became a folk hero and death defying icon to millions he started out as just another kid with a dream named Robert Craig Knievel.
How he acquired the nickname Evil is a good question.
According to interviews with Knievel himself he acquired it during a stay in jail after pulling
childish mischief, or more exactly stealing hubcaps.
In the 1960’s and 70’s instead of spend his life in and out of jail,
Evil began performing outrageously risky stunts.
Most famous is his Rocket powered motorcycle jump of an Idaho canyon
and several stunts at Caesar’s Palace in the 1960’s.
If you grew up in the time when Knievel was in his prime,
you no doubt had the time of your life.
“He scared people to death, but that’s why they loved him” said one longtime fan.

I caught a little bit of news on him last night, and was fascinated with how he was so daring!
That is so sad, he managed to do some awesome things.He will be missed by many.Love & light to his family.
He did such dangerous stunts, it terrified me to watch him. It’s so sad that he is gone.
