He was also able to maintain his qualification timings in the race when it unfortunate event took place. In fact, it was this that made him crash. He was doing well when suddenly he crashed. He was going really fast and he made the mistake of pusing too much. And then he lost the front tyre. After this Valentino Rossi was in first place followed by Jorge Lorenzo in third. Though Daniel Pedrosa did manage to get back on his Honda and continue the race. He then managed to finish the race in tenth place.

After this Valentino Rossi, current leader in the MotoGP racers Championship also crashed. This crash was very strange. A professional rider like Valentino Rossi would never make a mistake like that. It was a clear mistake he made in the curve before the one he crashed in. When he came hard on the first curve,he lost his tragectory and he crashed due to this loss of his trajectory which made him use his brakes too powerfully. As,you can see in the replays, the back tyre actually lifted just before he crashed.

This made racer Jorge Lorenzo first. These two incidents made it very easy for him to win the race. He had a very big advantage over Alex de Angelis who started in fourth place. It was a very good pole position for Daniel Pedrosa, but this accident changed it all. In an interview he said he wanted to only think about doing well in Misano, San Marino.
Therefore these events caused a final result of Jorge Lorenzo in first place, Alex de Angelis in second place and Nicky Hayden in third place. This is good news for Ducati after the problems they are having due to Casey Stoner’s absence. Right now,Valentino Rossi is leading the riders standings for the MotoGP 2009 season, followed by Jorge Lorenzo in second. This race has surely helped Jore Lorenzo to make one more step towards his efforts in reaching or even defeating current leader and rival Valentino Rossi.
