Days ago, on race day, San Marino, Misano, a wonderful performance by Valentino Rossi is undeniable. After, the unfortunate events in Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Valentino Rossi came first with absolutely superb lap-times too. In the race he always had competition with his team-mate and rival Jorge Lorenzo. The start off for Valentino Rossi was not a perfect one as we see that Jorge Lorenzo had him. And before Jorge Lorenzo Dani Pedrosa overtook him in the first corner. This is when Rossi started pushing hard.
Rossi then did what he did best, he got his tyres into the right temperature and gave everybody a very entertaining race. He also added that, he was very happy about this win. Not simply happy but, very happy about it because of his mistake in Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It was a week ago and he made up for it in this race. He was doing extremely good in qualifications too. He had a very good time and he earned a good pole position for that. Valentino Rossi had an 1min 34.338 sec timing with Dani Pedrosa of Honda behind him by 0.222 sec.
But his rival managed to get a third position on the grid with 0.470 sec behind Rossi. But yet Rossi did not manage to break Casey Stoner’s record on this track. He has an incredible 1min 33.388sec lap-time. Valentino Rossi also got creative by getting a donkey on his helmet, joking about his mistake in Indianapolis. After, that mistake he managed to perform extremely well, and we know that is what he does best. Valentino Rossi finished first with his rival and team-mate Jorge Lorenzo in second place. Jorge Lorenzo seemed to have given up towards the end of the race as we can notice that he stopped pushing hard for first place. Maybe he was sure he couldn’t get Valentino Rossi anymore.
Jorge Lorenzo finished 2.416 seconds after Rossi. Anyway, it was not bad for him to come second now getting him a total of 207 points in the championships. Valentino Rossi still stands first in the MotoGP 2009 championships with 237 points. This year Valentino Rossi has done well in his races. Even hough he is thirty years old and even though he has a rival who is also his team-mate. That is something very complicated to handle and he seems to be doing well. In third place it was Spanish racer Daniel Pedrosa with Honda. He was satisfied with third place as he feels lucky to have got it.
He also said that, as he entered the pits he had some problems with his bike. Unfortunately, this time the race did not go well with Alex De Angelis, Colin Edwards and Nicky Hayden. Alex De Angelis made a mistake in the corner and he crashed causing Colin Edwards and Nicky Hayden to crash along with him. Now, the next race in Portugal will surely have other surprises. And let’s hope it will go better for Alex De Angelis, Colin Edwards and Nicky Hayden.
