My Marshal Arts Experience….
When I started my class, I though it would teach me to beat everyone up and save myself if I were to ever be attacked. Which is so not true… after the first year, not only could I defend myself, I was starting to learn life lessons. Not that you could just beat the living daylight out of someone who is annoying you, but the ability to avoid these kinds of situations.
I never though that I could go through Patterns, and sparing hundred times, over and over, repeating the steps and still learn something new. And at the same time, I was getting stronger. Not only my body, but my self confidence too.
It’s said that Eighty Five percent of marshal artists do not get into fights, because we have the training to avoid them. Not To start a fight, but to end one if someone starts one. When you see fights on movies or shows, there two professional people fighting. Well, stuff like this doesn’t normally happen in real life.
One time this guy attacked me, But I defended myself, and got away. This is rare, and does not happen very often. But the important thing is that, when someone really does attack you, your ready…
Most black belts never have to be in a real fight in there lives (Nothing Serious). And it’s lucky that no-one picks a fight will them. Marshal Arts are a form on defense, Lessons, and learning to concentrate.
Which I recommend to anyone willing to try. =D
