Lacrosse Game

Thursday night 6:30 p.m. at Gold Star complex in Apex. My team was Apex White vs. Apex Black. I took the faceoff to start the game it was intense but I won the faceoff. We took the ball slowly down the field to try to get something going. We were hoping that we could score on the opening drive of game. There goalie was good he blocked three shots in a row. We were about to hit five minutes left in the first quarter and it was scoreless still. Three minutes left in the first now. We were coming down the field and I passed the ball to another teammate and he scored and we took a one nothing lead.

In the second it was a tight game are team was only down by one goal. But we had the lead most of the game so far. A player on my team had scored top left to tie the game early in the second. The game was still tied with seven minutes left in the second period. The clock was counting down we could not just shoot it at any time we had to make sure it was the perfect shoot so that we would score. I had finally got the ball with thirty seconds left in the second period. I ran around with the ball for a little bit trying to find the perfect shoot and when to take it. I found the spot I aimed and ripped the shoot at the net. It went in we had taking the going into the third lead.

Halftime was good we had delicious oranges and grapes for a snack to get us fouled up for the game. We talked about setting up a triangle offense more when we have the ball at there end. Number fourteen on there team we talked about they said that I was going to be the one to guard him every time that he is out on the filed. During halftime Are Collage coaches that were helping the team during that season came over to help me with my defense. We all took are final drinks of water before halftime was over. I drank a lot of water because I would not be going out for a little while so I would not be able to get water for awhile.

In the third I had only lost one faceoff. To number Fourteen there best player on there whole team. I got a little hurt but it was not that bad. I was not out long I got back into the game at the two warning. We were losing seven to five late in the game. I was out of the game during the time when they scored to goals. With one minute left in the period we had to score. We tried as hard as we could to try to tie it up in the third. They were counting down Five Four Three I took the shoot top left corner I aimed for. It’s a buzzer beater goal to tie the game. Everyone in the crowned cheered for are team because the game winning hopes were still alive for are team.

Fourth Quarter was the big quarter where my team had to score one goal to at least take that much of a lead in the game. In the forth we were still tied up with Apex Black. It was a clean sheet for both teams both even at zero. Hoping that are team would come up with a goal. It was going to be a showdown to the end. It felt like next goal wins to whole thing. In that quarter we had a lot of penalties but we held them from scoring. In the final minute they had scored to take that lead are team was silent we thought it was all over. In the final thirty seconds I had scored behind the back shoot to tie it up and hopefully keep are winning streak alive.

It Was on to overtime where everything would happen. We were going to do a shootout. Apex Black shoot first and missed there shoot. We went second and missed high they went again and this was there final shoot they missed. It was all up to me to score the game was on the line. I ran up tossed the ball in the air and caught it then rip a shoot right in between his five hole and I scored for my team. I had saved the game for them at first and now I have won the game for my team. That day was the best day in my life.
