Reasons who and why this team will win the 2010 Stanley Cup :P .

I think the Washington capitals will win the 2010 Stanley cup.They just got shut down on fluke by the Pittsburgh penguins during the conference semi finals in 2009. I do not like the Washington capitals, i like the  Edmonton Oilers I am not just saying that my favorite team will win i am saying the team that i think will win. Another reason is that they have that really good goalie, Mike Green(defence) and superstar Alex Ovechkin

The capitals have tons of talent and there not afraid to use it. They will go far because they are starting to demolish every team that gets in its way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The second team i would bet on to win would be the western confrence finalist the CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS!.The have so much young guns and just get better and better.If you ever go get the chance to go to a blackhawks game GO!! They will teach you so much just by watching them!

    Blackhawks = #1 — Capitals are good…but Blackhawks will edge this one out. The Cup has Chicago written all over it.

    chicago has the best chance, washington is good too. i wouldnt count out the flyers, avalanche, or (surprise surprise) the flames.
    Calgary has the best defence in the league (phaneuf, regehr, sarich, bouwmeester etc) great goaltending by kiprussoff, a new star in Rene Bourque, power in olli jokinen, x factors like glencross and of course the captain Iginla.

    ppppppp, your so stupid. the flames do not have the best defence in the league. t hey are all slow with the exception of phaneuf and bouwmeester, and phaneuf is so over rated, he had the worst plus minus of any player in the league last year. The best defence in the NHL definetly goes to the Wings. They have one of the best D-Men to ever play the game for starters. Nick Lidstrom, go down the line, Kronwall, Stuart, Ericsson, Rafalski. Common buddy, all super mobile defenceman awesome with the puck and tough. There you have it you dumb a$$ and as for who will win the cup Chicago has no Goaltender to take them all the way. The Stanley Cup champs will be the New Jersey Devils.

    Connor your the idiot, the hawks have the best defense this year. Its not based on personnel its team defense and the hawks in the standing are the best. The cup will go through Chicago this year and thats fact. I said it here.

    Honestly I like the capitals chances they’re my front runner. They’re just a really well balanced team with good blue liners, a strong offensive line (Ovechkin, Backstrom, Semin) and they are getting good goaltending from Theodore and newcomer Neuvirth. However I also wouldn’t rule out the flames or the Blackhawks. The Flames because Kiprussoff’s been on his game as of late and they got a great defensive core and the Blackhawks because they got a surplus of young talent that could take them the distance. I also like Buffalo chances because of Millers play but to a lesser extent because goaltenders can’t bail you out all the time.

    The Flames suck right now lol… That big 9-1 loss to the sharks on Jan18th 2010 didn’t help them much lol they are also on a 5game losing streak and guess the next 2 teams on there schedule. Non otther that the CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS and then to top it off, the WASHINGTON CAPITALS. lol, they are screwed…..

    The caps have the best lineup and one of the toughest schedules in the NHL. The only problem is that they do not emphasize their defnse enough. but with green on his game and theodore in the net, the caps are a no-brainer stanley cup chapmion. I also like the Bruins chances of a potetial eastern conference finalist.

    Devils all the way this year, the best goalie of all time (rested) and they have the most depth on offense.
