NHL: Toronto to Receive Another Hockey Team?
Rumor going around of another team coming to Toronto.

As I’m sure you have all heard the rumors by now, they are toying with the idea of having another NHL team in Toronto… TSN touched on this a bit during tonights game vs. the Ducks. TSN said the name may be called the St.Pats….(WTF!) Although I read a comment by a fan on thestar.com directed towards Gretzky’s promoting of the idea and this guy said something I completely agree with:
“Gretzky put you money where your mouth is ….. please!”
Gretzky you wanted to play for the Leaf but they wouldn’t pay the price…..so buy the team. Even better get a group of your wealthy Canadian hockey buddies together and put a team next to TO and show them how to run a hockey organization. The Toronto hockey market is so starving for a decently run NHL organization that anything within a reasonable distance to the GTA would be filled to capacity in a heart beat. It would be amazing to see an NHL team more interested in playing hockey then calculating dividends. And see the shock on MLSE management faces when theres tickets they cant give away.”
Maybe it’s not such a bad thing after all.
