Who’s Your Favorite Football Player?

Wow, this is a question that has many different possible answers. Are you a fan of the quarterbackpass? A fan of the quick and ellusive scat back or are you more fond of the bulldozing power back? What about the speedy deep threat wide out? Then again you can’t forget about the possession receiver. Now I’ve just mentioned a few positions that many great players have occupied, and those were just offensive positions. But out of all of the players who ever played the game of football, who is your favorite? Who was the guy that you would travel to see play? The guy who no matter what kind of game he had, good or bad, you always felt that he dominated. For me, I would have to say that guy was Walter Payton. One of the main reasons for this is because the Bears used to be my favorite team. I grew up in the 80’s and it seemed like everytime I watched a football game, the Bears were playing. Which wasn’t a bad thing because the Bears were a very good team, but Walter payton was such a great running back. He had an incredible combination of “graceful aggression”. By that I mean that he could glide down the football and hurdle over a defender, land on his feet and punish the next defender by lowering his shoulder and stepping in the defenders chest….now that’s football!! Although there are plenty of players out there who are ,and were great, Sweetness himself, Walter Payton, has to be my guy.
