Who Will Make The NFL Playoffs, and Who Will Win The Super Bowl? It’s All Here
The ultimate NFL spoiler.

All Right, first thing’s first. Before we settle on a Super Bowl Champ, we should probably figure out who’s going to the dance first. The NFL Playoffs picture is a jumbled up mess right now; let’s clear it up a bit right off.
NFC
We’ll start here, since it isn’t nearly the mess the AFC is at this point. Four teams have already secured playoff spots:

The Saints will clinch the top spot when they beat the Bucs this week, and the Vikings should lock in the #2 seed. The Cowboys will wind up as the #3 seed, knocking the Eagles down to a wild card. The Cardinals will be the #4 seed.
The Packers will win their final 2 over Seattle and a vanilla Arizona, and lock up the final spot. The Packers win a tiebreaker with the Eagles, and lock in the #5 seed.
So here are your wild card matchups:

Philadelphia Eagles (11-5) at Dallas Cowboys (11-5)

Green Bay Packers (11-5) at Arizona Cardinals (10-6)
No need to look twice, it’s right. In a near comical fluke, you’re going to see these teams playing back to back games against each other… in both cases. And in equally odd twist, you’ll see the same result in both. The Packers will beat the Cardinals, and the Cowboys will beat the Eagles.
Which will set up this:

Dallas Cowboys at New Orleans Saints
Which the Saints will win handily this time around.
And this:

Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings
Does it get any more storybook than this? And the story will end for Favre.
Bringing us to the NFC Championship:

Green Bay Packers at New Orleans Saints
The Saints high Octane O will expose just how much the Packers miss Al Harris, and as such clinch a Super Bowl birth.

Now let’s go clean up that AFC mess.
AFC
To Start with, it’s not nearly as complicated as it seems. As with the NFC, four teams have clinched playoff spots, although a couple of divisional crowns have yet to be settled.

The Patriots and Bengals will both sew up their respective divisions this week, and will both win their last two games. Bengals own the tie breaker, so it will end up 1. Colts 2. Chargers 3. Bengals 4. Patriots.
The Ravens will win out and secure the #5 seed, and the Broncos will sneak in at 9-7, narrowly edging out the Dolphins (who will win out, but lose the common opponents tie breaker)
So these will be your match ups:

Denver Broncos (9-7) at Cincinnati Bengals (11-5)

Baltimore Ravens (10-6) at New England Patriots (11-5)
Both of the home teams will prevail, setting up:

New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts

Cincinnati Bengals at San Diego Chargers
Tell me the divisional playoff weekend, coupled with the NFC games, isn’t looking like one of the best we’ve ever seen. But the home teams will again prevail, setting up:

San Diego Chargers at Indianapolis Colts
Apologies to everyone who’s been anxiously awaiting the Colts/ Saints Super Bowl, because the Chargers are yet again going to sting Peyton’s boys.
So here’s your Super Bowl…

A meeting of two of the few teams which haven’t yet won a Super Bowl, which will be won in shootout fashion by the New Orleans Saints.
So there you have it; remember, you heard it here first.

Nice article.
Nice job, I still think the Eagles have a better chance than you give them. I do think it’s in the cards for the Chargers Saints to meet in the big game. I also think, and call me crazy, this is the year of destiny for the Chargers and they will somehow pull this off, and PR will be MVP, you heard that here first too.
nice article
Great article. The San Diego Chargers will win the Super Bowl with out a doubt. They’re hungrey for a win, they need to win. They have the best deffense and offense.
Great article, but in my opinion i think the Chargers will win the Superbowl. Everything else, however, I think is entirely correct.
Green Bay will NOT get that far
Ah. I totally agree with the Chargers heading to the big game. I don’t, however, agree with the Saints making it there. This is the first time they’ve been in the playoffs in the past like five years. Also, it’s sad that you’ve ruled out the Eagles and Cardinals, two quiet Super Bowl teams (The Eagles are always the surprise of the NFC, somehow, and the Cards know how to get there and still have the talent)…Thus, the Saints will lose to either the Cards or the Eagles.
great info.. thanks for the post..

Great Predictions except you are totally giving Minnesota nothing
Too bad the Saints lost today >:)
Well, if the Chargers do beat the Colts at home, they deserve it after the pitiful performance today.

I don’t follow football, but being from a New Orleans family, I would love it if this prediction were to come true! Whatever happens, it’s exciting to know they made it this far after all those years of mediocrity.
Take heart,

nice article keep it up!!!
Saints look very vulnerable. The NFC is wide open in my opinion. I think it is possible that the Packers could be last years Cardinals but I think the Cardinals have a very good chance of repeating their run. The only team I am sure wont be in the super bowl is Dallas. I say Saints, Vikings, Cards, Eagles, Packers, Dallas. I the finishing order.
In the AFC I think the Colts made a fatal mistake this weekend. They have just put an immense amount of pressure on themselves to win the super bowl and they have sucked the life out of their team with that loss. I see the Chargers as the odds on favorites to come in hungry, happy and devastating. The Bengals may actually be the Cardinals of last year. They are getting zero respect and all they did was win their division in a convincing fashion. The Patriots have the most to prove and may actually be the hungriest of the bunch They played the colts as close as you can play them without winning and fell a half yard short so You cant count them out. Even though we arent even sure who will make the playoffs from the Afc this year I think it finishes Chargers, Patriots, Colts, Bengals.
and in the Charger, Saints super bowl I give the edge to the Chargers I think Ladanian has just enough in the tank to keep the saints offense off the field.
Good article Mn. I do agree with you on the Chargers, but the Saints are really struggling right now. I think the Eagles are looking pretty strong out of the NFC at this point and time. The Saints still have time to right the ship though.
Although I am not a fan or either team, I think the teams with the best regular season record should make it to the big show aka Super bowl (Saints and Colts)
u nto giveing the ravens enough credit number 1 def in lead running 3 years now flaco is gona take them somewhere
u heard it here 1st!
I dont think the saints will win the super bowl or if they will even make it because they have been falling apart lately.
nice work
Don’t count the Cardinals out yet. They may not play pretty (as a matter of fact, pretty clumsy) but they can and do win.
Well my Giants choked so I’m on board The Saints wagon now. Tired of the same teams in it all the time. Unless it’s my team of course.
The saints lost to the buccenears ( if thats how you spell it) hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
give the broncos some credit. they got a new quaterback or coach, not sure and there already this far. Besides, the saints arent looking that good and i think the eagles and the broncos are going to the superbowl
lol…looking back at this just at the end of the week, you’ve missed three predictions already but I understand why you made em’. I’VE BEEN SAYING THIS ALL SEASON LONG…THE SAINTS are LUCKY not GOOD…big difference.
Vanilla your sister.
Sorry for the disappointment, but the Eagles are going to go all the way.
Eagles aren’t going to go down that easy, they’ll AT LEAST make it to the NFC Championship, if not the Superbowl. The Cowboys are losing in the first round. The Saints are choking their first game. Eagles VS Packers for the NFC.
Broncos and Ravens won’t even make it into the playoffs. And New England won’t make it past wild card weekend.
You do know that the NFC side is wrong right? The Saints are assured to play the lowest remaining seed in the NFC after the bye week, therefore if the Cowboys beat the Eagles they would be playing the Vikings, not the Saints. If your going to post something like this at least know what you are talking about and get it right.
I agree for the most part……… except I think Farve will beat the packers & have a very close game with the saints, but still prevail… setting up SD Vs. MIN Superbowl that SD wins in the best superbowl we’ve seen in years.
It’s our time. Go San Diego Mother Friggin Super Chargers.
Ooops, guess those “vanilla” Cardinals decided not to play by your rules
