Week 6 College Football Picks: The Games That Matter
The picks YOU want.

If you’re looking for the spread on Penn St and Eastern Illinois, you’re in the wrong place. No one cares. Many prognosticators love those games…. stats padders. 35-5 looks good, but when 30 of them are dummies… boring. So I won’t tell you that Penn State will beat whoever by umpteen points. And I won’t offer an opinion on Gardner-Webb and Buffalo; again, no one cares. These are the week 6 games that Matter… enjoy.

#21 Nebraska (3-1) at #24 Missouri (4-0)
As much as Nebraska dominated the Tigers for generations, the Tigers have returned the favor in recent years. Is this the year the Huskers jump back over?
Prediction: Jump they do. Nebraska 27 Missouri 21

Boston College (4-1) at Viginia Tech (4-1)
The Hokies will win, but these two teams match up well style wise. Hokies just got past Duke… a two touchdown spread is a bit much.
Prediction: The Eagles make it interesting. Virginia Tech 21 Boston College 17

#17 Auburn (5-0) at Arkansas (2-2)
This one will be wild… a fantasy dream.
Prediction: Auburn wins in a sprint. Auburn 45 Arkansas

#3 Alabama (5-0) at Ole Miss (3-1)
If not for that stumble against Spurrior’s boys, this would have been the game of the week. It still might be. Another last team with the ball affair.
Prediction: The Rebels are this week’s shocker. Mississippi 38 Alabama 35

Wisconsin (5-0) at Ohio State (4-1)
Anyone who follows Big 10 football knows that Wisconsin has a pattern of kicking the Buckeyes collective ass. But this year they have barely escaped everyone. The Buckeyes defense is stifling, probably the best in the country. If they ever learn to convert in the red zone, this would be a legit contender.
Prediction: Not this time, Bucky. Ohio State 33 Wisconsin 7

#13 Oregon (4-1) at UCLA (3-1)
Has anyone seen what the Ducks did the last 2 weeks?
Prediction: A 6 point spread? Seriously? Oregon 38 UCLA 14

#1 Florida (4-0) at #4 LSU (5-0)
Ok, so LSU looked vulnerable against Georgia. Have we forgotten that Florida (with Tebow) did the same against Tennessee?
Prediction: Florida isn’t quite as good as we thought. LSU 24 Florida 21

#22 Georgia Tech (4-1) at Florida State (2-3)
Don’t you miss the old days, when the Every team in Florida was in the top 5? Me neither.
Prediction: Say Goodnight, Bobby. Georgia Tech 31 Florida St 21

Michigan (4-1) at #12 Iowa (5-0)
People forget that Rodriguez guy up in Ann Arbor can coach a little.
Predictions: Bounce back game for the Maize and Blue. Michigan 30 Iowa 28
