Everyone knows his name? He is always on ESPN. Anytime anyone talks about college football, they talk about Tim Tebow. He is the quarterback of the defending national champion Florida Gators. He is also the leader the undisputed #1 preseason team in college football for the 2009 year. The 2009 Florida Gators return a ton of talent. They have arguably the best defense in America. They have arguably the best special teams unit in America. They have arguably the greatest college football player in the history of the sport . They would have had the best offense in America if Percy Harvin would have returned to school. This team, if it concentrates every week and has no major injuries, could go down as one of the legendary teams of all time. How good this team does and how good Tebow does in this last year and in the NFL will be what his legacy is based on.
Matt Leinart was in a similar position, but his team lost his last game. He hasn’t lived up to the hype in the NFL. Now when he is thought of he is remembered as just a good QB instead of all-time great. The same thing is true with Ken Dorsey.
Tebow has a chance to be the best when he is thought about in 10 years. Here is what has to happen. He has to have an undefeated the season, which the Gators can do, they are that good. He has to win a second Heisman which he can do because he is that good. And thirdly he has to make at least 2 Pro-Bowls in the NFL, which is the big question. I personally think he is going to be a steal in the 2010 NFL Draft. If he can make a big impact in the NFL than his legacy will be sealed and his name will be at the top.
