3 Super Bowls in 4 years. A new record set by Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. The patriots had gone a long time before they started this amazing streak.
When the Patriots started in started in 1960 they were everything but amazing. It would be 25 years before they made it to their first Super bowl. 18 years later they made their history.
Over the years the Pats have gone through 14 coaches and eight stadiums. They have all lead up to Bill Belichick and Gillette Stadium. Belichick is the coach that led the team to all three super bowl wins and is still coaching them now.
Some of the most notable players in Patriot history are Gino Cappelletti, Mike Haynes, and Steve Nelson. All of these players’ numbers have been retired along with four others.
The patriot’s current roster that will start this year consists of Tom Brady, Randy Moss, and Laurence Maroney. These players are only three of many people on this team. I hope the team can stick together for a least five more years so they can win their fourth Super Bowl.
I am from Rocky Hill, Connecticut which is two hours away from Foxboro, MA, home of the New England Patriots. So since I grew up in CT, I have and always will be a Patriot fan.
Some people think that the only reason I like the Patriots is because they won three Super Bowls. It gets pretty annoying after awhile. If I could get a dollar for every person who thought I only liked a team because they were good, I would be rich.
The color of there jersey has varied over the years. The first color was an American flag design. For the Super Bowl they had red jerseys. After that they had a variety of different color patterns, but their most recent jersey color is dark blue jersey with silver pants.
