The New Patriots are the Dolphins of the New Millennium

Description: The New England Patriot will just be the second team to go undefeated in the history of NFL, and win more Super Bowls than any other team.

In the 70’s, we had the Pittsburgh Steelers, however, the Miami Dolphins stole part of their thunder. In the 80’s, we had the San Francisco 49ers, and the Washington Redskins. The 49ers were the closest to go undefeated until now. The 49ers were 15-1. Their only loss was to the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the 90’s we had the Dallas Cowboys with their 3 Super Bowl wins. There was definitely a rivalry between the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys, but that was the last century

In the new millennia, we have the New England Patriots. The Patriots have won more Super Bowls than anyone else in this century. I am going to call out my prediction, which isn’t very hard at this time. The New England Patriots will win the Super Bowl, and will have the only undefeated since the Dolphins did it in 1972. Despite the scandal in Tom Brady’s personal life, and the scandal with cheating earlier this season, the Patriots have not let anything distract them from a perfect season.

The biggest steal of the off season is Randy Moss. This is the genius of Bill Belichick. A side from being the great coach he is, he is also a great personnel guy. Like Bill Walsh before him, Bill Belichick understands the system his team uses, and he judges the talent accordingly.

Bill Walsh drafted Joe Montana in the 3rd round. Bill Belichick drafted Tom Brady in the 6th round. Walsh’s team went on to win 4 Super Bowls. Belichick’s team will win 4 Super Bowls as well. The difference is the Patriots have a perfect season that the 49ers never achieved during their dynasty. Tom Brady is still young enough to win a few more Super Bowls. After it’s all said and done the Patriots may be the greatest team ever. They will have won more Super Bowls than any team in history.

If both Bill Belichick and Tom Brady retired at the end of this season, they would qualify for the Hall of Fame. I have a feeling they are not going to retire, because they want to win a few more Super Bowls.
