Rowan’s Week 9 NFL Predictions

My predictions on which teams will win in the NFL – week 9.

Washington @ Atlanta – this match will be won by Atlanta as they look to rebound from a two game skid against the lacklustre Washington Redskins

Arizona @ Chicago – I predict that this match will be close although the weather will play a huge factor. I reckon Arizona will not travel well causing Chicago to win a close game in their familiar style.

Baltimore @ Cincinnati - A close divisional encounter which will ultimately come down to defense. Which Baltimore will dominate after their confidence boosting win against Denver.

Houston @ Indianapolis – The return of Bob Sanders and the injury to Owen Daniels will be the key factors to this game. Indianapolis will win and Schaub will struggle without someone to test the middle of the field.

Kansas City @ Jacksonville – Maurice Jones-Drew will have another big game as the Chiefs fall to the jaguars.

Miami @ New England – Unlike last year the patriots will be prepared for the wildcat, plus this year the Pats have Tom Brady. The Pats will win.

Green Bay @ Tampa Bay – Josh Freeman gets his first start for the Bucs, although he will have to wait a while for his first win as Aaron Rodgers shows why he is the true replacement to No.4

Carolina @ New Orleans – Very close game, could be an upset special for the Panthers although I still can’t pick anyone over the Saints. Saints will win.

Detroit @ Seattle – Hasselbeck will get back on track by beating the Lions, after their tough loss to the Cowboys.

San Diego @ New York Giants - This is a vital game for both teams. I think this will prove the turning point for each of their seasons. The giants should win although I am picking the Chargers as Philip Rivers shows the Giants that they were wrong to pick Eli before him.

Tennessee @ San Francisco – The battle of the come back QB’s and a pair of the best running backs. However Singletary’s tough styled 49er defence will edge out the Titans in this one.

Dallas @ Philadelphia – Judging by their recent form I think Dallas will get the better of the eagles. When the pressure is relieved from America’s team, they always seem to perform.

Pittsburgh @ Denver – The Broncos have had a bit of luck in a few of their games this season and I think the Steelers will show them who the true champions are this weekend by beating them.
