As the players from Oceanside’s junior varsity team predicted, the Orange Glenn Patriots were of no threat to the Pirates.

The Oceanside Pirates’ JV squad routed the Patriots 42-6 last Friday afternoon. Orange Glenn showed little effort against a solid Oceanside team, as the Patriots prduced no offense and allowed for the Pirates to score a total of six touchdowns.

The Pirate defense pressured the Patriot’s quarterback all game long, with defensive end Christian Palosdelarosa leading the way with four sacks. In addition, the defense forced three fumbles and one interception. The Patriots often found themselves with no offensive rhythm, with their only touchdown coming off of a fumble recovery.

The Pirate offense also played exceptionally well, running the ball heavily, and gaining consistent yardage from doing so. Multiple quarterback draws and scrambles also contributed the Pirates’ ground attack.
