I have lived in New England all my life and last night I finally got the chance to go see a pre game with the New England patriots up against the Cincinnati Bengals. Upon our arrival to Patriots Place all you could see was Tom Brady Jerseys walking towards the stands. You could feel the excitement in the air and just being in the presence of the stadium itself made you feel in aw.  The stadium is majestic and delivers that everyone who enters knows who home this truly is.

The field was filled with junior cheerleaders trying to master the techniques of the wondrous New England Patriot cheerleaders.Dressed with their skimpy outfits and pom poms flaring the atmosphere took on a life of its own.

Our tickets were center field home side of course and we could see the entire field. Great place to be! The night was a warm summers eve with the football match directly in front of us and the blimp over our heads. As warm breezes passed by the Patriots took to the field. The colors and music were grand and set the stage for the evening.

One thing I discovered right away was how friendly all the fans were. Saying hello to us and also giving high fives made us feel right at home and comfortable to be there. We soon had become a part of the great sport of football and fit right in.

The stadium was full which was surprising for a exhibition game but very exciting.  For anyone out there that follows the Patriots the big question was if our wonder boy # 12 Tom Brady would grace us with his presence. Belichick the coach had been pretty hush hush on the subject. So when Brady took the field in the 1st quarter the stadium went crazy! Finally our quarter back was where he belonged, back on the field.

Although only playing for a short time he let the fans and the rest of NFL know he was back.  He seemed a bit off with over throwing a pass but all in all he looked good and it was fantastic to see him back in play.

With all the excitement from both sides and Patriot fans praying for a win the battle was lost to the Bengals by 1 point. We will get them next time…

For those of you out there that have never been to a game I would recommend you go to at least one. I follow football in small quantities but actually being there makes all the difference in the world.
