Official NFL Power Rankings: Week 12

NFL Power Rankings Top To Bottom.

I love parity in the NFL.  We’ll get down to the last two weeks of the season, and everyone but the Bucs, Lions, and Browns will still be alive.  Any given Sunday has taken on a much more literal feel.  The Bungles and Steelers did their part to confuse everyone this week, but beyond that things were fairly quiet.  (except for the game of the year…. Lions/ Browns!

Here are your ‘Official’ Power Rankings for NFL week 12.

1. New Orleans Saints (10-0) (last wk #2)

Dominant once again.  The Monday night game is where we find out just how good they are.

2. Indianapolis Colts (10-0) (last wk #1)

Peyton’s crew is making a habit out of these close games; will serve them well in January.

3. Minnesota Vikings (9-1) (last wk #3)

The old man is really putting on a show, and that D is dominant.

4. New England Patriots (7-3) (last wk #5)

You knew the dynasty would end eventually.  Not sure they do in Foxboro.

5. San Diego Chargers (7-3) (last wk #8)

Bolts really starting to gel.

6. Arizona Cardinals (7-3) (last wk #7)

The other old guy is quietly doing his thing in the desert.

7. Green Bay Packers  (6-4) (last wk #10)

When this team in on, they can go toe to toe with anyone.  McCarthy could guarantee a playoff birth with a new technique… absentee coaching.

8. Cincinnati Bengals (7-3) (last wk #4)

That was disgusting.  At least Jamarcus wasn’t a part of it.  There’d be no living that one down.

9. Dallas Cowboys (7-3) (last wk #9)

7-6?  Seriously?  They should be forced to watch an entire day of WNBA for that.

10. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-4) (last wk #6)

Ever get the feeling this year that they’re just bored with the regular season?  Alarm set for the end of December.

11. Philadelphia Eagles (6-4) (last wk #12)

Chicago shouldn’t have been that difficult.

12. Tennessee Titans (4-6) (last wk #13)

I’ve been saying it for a month now…. Titans in the playoffs.

13. Miami Dolphins (5-5) (last wk #15)

And the Dolphins in the playoffs along side them.

14. Jacksonville Jaguars (6-4) (last wk #17)

But not the Jags.  Look at their schedule in December… they may not win a game.

15. Baltimore Ravens (5-5) (last wk #11)

Gave Indy all it could handle.

16. Houston Texans (5-5) (last wk #14)

This team may be doomed to an eternity of 8-8.

17. Atlanta Falcons (5-5) (last wk #16)

If only they had a defense.

18. New York Giants (6-4) (last week #21)

Could still make the playoffs.  Could.

19. Carolina Panthers (4-6) (last wk #18)

Sometimes Delhomme just looks used up.

20. San Fransisco 49ers (4-6) (last wk #20)

Still a year away, but Singletary will get them there.

21. Denver Broncos (6-4) (last wk #19)

Spent the first 6 weeks of the season bashing the Broncos, but even I didn’t realize that they actually suck.

22. Kansas City Chiefs (3-7) (last wk #24)

The win over Pittsburgh didn’t mean much, but the Chiefs have been competitive most of the year, and earned this one.

23. New York Jets (4-6) (last wk #22)

So maybe Sanchez wasn’t the second coming of Broadway Joe after all.  Or even Pat O’Brien.

24. Chicago Bears (4-6) (last wk #26)

Kyle Orton blows.

25. Buffalo Bills (3-7) (last wk #27)

At least they didn’t embarrass themselves this week.

26. Washington Redskins (3-7) (last wk #23)

Sit down and watch the WNBA with the damn Cowboys.  Bums.

27. Oakland Raiders  (3-7) (last week #30)

Bench Jamarcus, beat the Bungles.  I love being righter than Al Davis.

28. Detroit Lions (2-8) (last wk #31)

When was the last time the lions looked like that?  I think some Barry guy was still scampering around…

29. Seattle Seahawks (3-7) (last wk #25)

Worse than the Lions.  Bummer.

30. St Louis Rams  (1-9) (last week #30)

The Rams have heart, you have to give them that.

31. Tampa Bay Succaneers (1-9) (last wk #26)

Way to jump start the Saints, guys.  The rest of the league thanks you.

32. Cleveland Browns (1-9) (last week #30)

Where the hell did that come from?  It was just the Lions, puppy pounders.  Back to business as usual next week.

How can the Giants be 1 spot below the Falcons? They just beat them in OT and have a better record. Also the Seahawks are horrible but they beat the Lions this year and have a better record….how are they ranked lower?
