NFL Lockout: What Would We Do?
With an NFL lockout a huge possibility, what would we watch instead?

It is a tough time for fans of the National Football Lueague. A lockout is pending which would mean no more football for the upcoming season. The NFL owners and NFL players association are trying to decide how to split nearly 9 billion dollars in revenue. That is a lot of cheadar! With a deal not likley to get done, that would mean that pro football would not be on our television screens on Sundays, so what would we watch?
Sunday television has always belonged to football, so what would take over instead with football gone? First of all I think Fox network’s Animation Domination would be a hit in the evening. As you know Animation Domination consists of shows such as The Simpsons, The Cleveland Show, Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers and others. I have a feeling that would become rather popular. I feel like game shows would also try to take advantage of the absence of football. Although I feel most of theese would fail, some good shows may come out of the mix.
I get the feeling with no NFL more movies would be played on the major networks. Films always seem to get nice ratings. You can never go wrong with showing a good action movie like one of the Pirates of the Carribean movies among other action packed flicks.
Other sports could also fill the void. NBA or NASCAR may take the spots left by the NFL. My favorite idea though is this. Play NCAA Football on Sundays also. Save half the college football games for the next day. There are already way to many college games to watch on one given Saturday so spread it out. Plenty of games and you still get football on Sunday. It may not be as good as the NFL, but it is the second best thing. I think this would be a great way to fill the time on television while still getting to watch America’s game. All we can do is hope and pray the NFL can work things out and we will have pro football back in 2012.
