My Take on Vick The Eagle
Why I think this is all going down. (Short)

After listening to the press conference and catching most of the stories on this topic on various sports and news networds. I’ve come to one conclusion and that is Vick won’t be an Eagle next year and that this move cements Mcnabb’s era as quarterback of the Eagles (barring a SB victory) ends after next season.
What this move allows the Eagles to do is put the onus back on Mcnabb 100% win or lose. It also allows them a plausible reason to release A.J. Feeley even thou he had a great 1st pre-season game. There is no way the Eagles keep 4 QB’s and he’s odd man out. That also opens up a roster spot for another probably first day draft pick at quarterback next year as the next successor if the current succesor doesn’t pan out as expected. I can just see a similar siutation to what happened this past years draft unfolding at quarterback. With all the talented juniors who even thou they knew they would jump most if not all of the qb’s taken this year stayed in it will create the next great QB class. I could see someone like Tebow/Colt falling out of the top 15 and the Eagles saying he was too good to pass up, which most people will go along with.
Of course they will say there is no threat to Mcnabb once again (especially if a SB win occurs this year) and fake like everything is cool. This is just the first step in ensuring that regardless of outcome in 2011 the Philly Eagles will have a new leader at QB who got time to sit and learn from one of the best to ever play. I can’t fault the Eagles for this as it’s just there way of doing business. Unless Mcnabb wins 2 superbowls he’s likely playing on his last contract with the Philadelphia Eagles.
