The last month of the NFL season is upon us; time for things to get interesting.  The divisional races heat up, and every game becomes important.  Here are your Guaranteed picks for NFL week 14.

Click here for last week’s picks.

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-6) at Cleveland Browns (1-11)

It’s do or die pretty much every week from here on out for the Steelers.  Fortunately the stretch run begins in Cleveland.

Prediction:  Steelers stay alive.  Steelers 27 Browns 10.

New Orleans Saints (12-0) at Atlanta Falcons (6-6)

The Falcons have looked hapless.  Couldn’t have the Saints come to town at a worse time.

Prediction:  The road to perfection stays on cruise control.  Saints 42 Falcons 13

Detroit Lions (2-10) at Baltimore Ravens (6-5)

The Ravens are still clinging, but not by much.

Prediction:  Lions Purr and lay down again.  Ravens 31 Lions 7

Green Bay Packers (7-4) at Chicago Bears (5-7)

The Packers’ playoff drive builds momentum.

Prediction:  Rodgers tears up Soldier Field.  Packers 38 Bears 14

Seattle Seahawks (5-7) at Houston Texans (5-7)

Two teams finishing up another disappointing year.

Prediction:  Texans save a bit of face.  Texans 28 Seahawks 24.

Denver Broncos (8-4) at Indianapolis Colts (12-0)

Another chance to see that the Broncos are pretenders.

Prediction:  Colts pursuit of perfection rolls as well.  Beginning of the end for Denver.  Colts 41 Broncos 17

Miami Dolphins (6-6) at Jacksonville Jaguars (7-5)

The Dolphins really do control their own destiny; they’re now just a game back of the AFC East lead.  Beating the Jags firms that control.

Prediction:  Dolphins drive takes another step.  ‘Fins 27 Jags 20

Buffalo Bills (4-8) at Kansas City Chiefs (3-9)

A dismal year for both teams, but the Bills should feel a little better after this.

Prediction:  A shootout! (that no one will watch) Bills 34 Chiefs 31

Cincinnati Bengals (9-3) at Minnesota Vikings (10-2)

Who would have thought this would be a matchup of the league’s elite a few months back?

Prediction:  Maybe the Bengals aren’t quite elite yet; but is Favre running out of steam?  Vikings 28 Bengals 24

Carolina Panthers (5-7) at New England Patriots (7-5)

The Pats suddenly have Miami breathing down their neck.

Prediction:  Pats win, but not as easily as they should.  Pats 24 Panthers 21

New York Jets (6-6) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-11)

Is this the week the Succaneers break back through?

Prediction:  Nope.  Jets 28 Bucs 10

St Louis Rams (1-11) at Tennessee Titans (5-7)

All is not lost for the Titans… win out and there’s still shot.

Prediction:  Titals stay in the race.  Titans 34 Rams 14

Washington Redskins (3-9) at Oakland Raiders (4-8)

Two teams that have actually showed improvement recently.

Prediction:  Redskins win this week’s toilet bowl.  Redskins 23 Raiders 21

San Diego Chargers (9-3) at Dallas Cowboys (8-4)

Suddenly a very important game for the Cowboys.  Should be alot of points here.

Prediction:  Character win for Dallas.  Cowboys 31 Chargers 28.

Philadelphia Eagles (8-4) at New York Giants (7-5)

The Eagles have a chance to do what Dallas couldn’t… put the Giants away.

Prediction:  Exactly what they do. Eagles 27 Giants 24.

Arizona Cardinals (8-4) at San Fransisco 49ers (5-7)

Cardinals made a statement by trashing the Vikes.  This one will all but put the division away.

Prediction:  Like last year, they’ll put it on cruise early.  Cards 28 49ers 20

Yes, because a pretender beats 5 teams with winning records, and after we beat the Colts will end up beating all but one afc playoff team. Will play and beat at least two NFC playoff teams, if not three. I mean, seriously, Bengals, Dallas, NE, San Diego, New York. No team in the NFL has a win record that looks like that. Toss in Colts and Eagles and the Broncos will have played 7 playoff teams. How many have the colts played?

You are a fucking fool. There are a handful of teams in the NFL that would go 8-4 with the record the Broncos have had. You’re a fucking dolt, the Broncos will make the playoffs easily, and WILL knock off the Eagles at home.

*sigh* The first line of your report got me sad…the last month of the season. You’re right about the Cowboys, this has suddenly become a very important game after the disappointment yesterday… I actually thought the Giants had lost their luster after their little loosing streak, ah well just makes me not wanna wait till next weekend!

Have to go against some of these, haven’t done mine yet,the Vikes better knock off the Bengals. Brett will be fine.

    you’re a freakin’ dumbass
The only pretender I see is the jackass pretending to have a clue about football and writing this crap.
Let me remind you of: Dallas, NE, Cinci, SD, NYG – all will likely be in the playoff, or very close, all have an L next to the Broncos name on their schedule this year.
I’m not saying we are guranteed to beat Indy, they’re damn good, but we WILL put up one hell of a fight, it will be close, and you will learn to respect the Mile high team.

I wonder if the author knows that this is not college football. There simply will never be this many blowouts in a week. Seriously man, you think the ‘elite’ teams will steamroll everyone they play. You have THREE four score games up here…

This dude Mnofdichotomy (aka Aaron Boyle) is a complete idiot. You’d have to be a total fool to call the Broncos pretenders after beating 4 of the current division leaders, and losing to 3 very good teams (and the other loss being due to Orton going down and Simms sucking it up).

This isn’t the beginning of the season where you could question the Broncos because they beat Cinci on a last second play.

Really… you’re an absolute moron with absolutly no original material or concept about the world of the NFL and likely sports for that matter.

    Pathetic.

funny how most of my negative comments come from broncos fans. suck it up, guys. theyre just not that good.

  10. Posted December 13, 2009 at 4:29 am

I disagree with all the blowouts. Time and time again we see mediocre teams keep up with some of the elite teams in the league. I hate the Broncos (Go Chargers!) but I’m guaranteeing they’ll upset the Colts. They’re coming off of two huge wins and the way Indy has played down to the level of their opponents, the Broncos might catch them. The Cowboys will not (repeat, will not) beat the Chargers. Undefeated in December vs. Shittiest team come crunch time? C’mon now…
