Small note; have recieved numerous messages that it’s a pain in the ass to scroll all the way through to find my review of the previous week’s picks.  But I am also aware that some people don’t want to read them at all.  Well, ya can’t please everyone, so here is a link to last week’s review.

Week 11 Review

Or I can save you a trip; it was a good week…. 13-2 (not counting Monday’s game, in which I picked Tennessee).  If you come for my lackluster wit and comments, they’re all there.

Lock em in, load em up.  Here are your guaranteed picks for NFL week 12.

Green Bay Packers (6-4) at Detroit Lions (2-8)

Packers are finally playing up to potential and overcoming awful coaching.  Don’t get excited, Lions fans.  It was just Cleveland.

Prediction:  Packers continue to build momentum.  Packers 35 Lions 13

Oakland Raiders (3-7) at Dallas Cowboys (7-3)

After laying a virtual egg two straight weeks, the ‘Boys look to wake the hell up with the Turkey Day home game.  Addition by subtraction:  benching Jamarcus.

Prediction:  Improved Raiders not enough for Cowboys.  Cowboys 31 Raiders 14

Miami Dolphins (5-5) at Buffalo Bills (3-7)

The ‘Fins officially jump back into the thick of the playoff race this week.

Prediction:  Dolphins drive another nail into the Bills coffin.  Dolphins 27 Bills 10

New York Giants (6-4) at Denver Broncos (6-4)

Remember a month or so ago, when we were all trying to decide if these two teams were the best in the NFL?  It’s starting to look like one or both might not even see the post season.

Prediction:  Giants are at least semi legit; Broncos are not.  Giants 31 Broncos 17

Washinton Redskins (3-7) at Philadelphia Eagles (6-4)

If only the Deadskins could score points…

Prediction:  Booooring.  Eagles 17 Redskins 14

Seattle Seahawks (3-7) at St Louis Rams (1-9)

The Rams have actually managed to hang tough with the big boys the last few weeks.

Prediction:  Upset special #1.  Rams 28 Seahawks 23

Carolina Panthers (4-6) at New York Jets (4-6)

Mathematically, they’re both still alive.  It’s over for one of them after this week.

Prediction:  Carolina clings to the thread on the road.  Panthers 24 Jets 21

Cleveland Browns (1-9) at Cincinnati Bengals (7-3)

Holy crap, Brady Quinn can play football!

Prediction:  Just kidding.  Back to business as usual for the Browns.  Bungles 38 Browns 10

Indianapolis Colts (10-0) at Houston Texans (5-4)

Colts have been squeaking by for weeks.  Are the Texans the team to call their bluff?

Prediction:  Nope.  Colts 27 Texans 17

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-9) at Atlanta Falcons (5-5)

The Bucs look better with Freeman.  The Falcons are proving just how much they overachieved last year.

Prediction:  Upset special #2.  Succaneers 27 Falcons 24

Kansas City Chiefs (3-7) at San Diego Chargers (7-3)

Chiefs prove ‘Any given Sunday’… repeat against Bolts?

Prediction:  Lightning doesn’t strike twice.  Chargers 28 Chiefs 17.

Jacksonville Jaguars (6-4) at San Fransisco 49ers (4-6)

The Jags are very quietly starting to believe… Alex Smith doesn’t.

Prediction:  Jags keep it quiet, but keep doing it.  Jags 24 49ers 17

Chicago Bears (4-6) at Minnesota Vikings (9-1)

While we’re all getting ready for Saints/ Indy in the Super Bowl, The old man is going out with fireworks up north.

Prediction:  The Viking Train rolls on.  Vikings 38 Bears 14

Arizona Cardinals (7-3) at Tennessee Titans (3-6)

Cards may end up resting starters for the last month in NFC west.  Titans, though…

Prediction:  Upset special #3… Titans.  And big.  Titans 38 Cardinals 21

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-4) at Baltimore Ravens (5-5)

This is a monumental game for both teams.  Expect a vicious game.

Predictions:  In big games, great D rises to the top.  Steelers 16 Ravens 13

New England Patriots (7-3) at New Orleans Saints (10-0)

Finally, a monday night game worth staying up for.

Prediction:  Not in the Dome, Tom.  Saints 34 Pats 31

The Jags are playing San Fran not the Redskins. Just an FYI on a typo. Go Phins!

    P.S

How can you be 13-2 in week 11 when the Tennessee / Houston game is tonight? Those are Guaranteed picks for sure if that’s the case.

I hope you’re right on the Steelers pick! Not so many people are that optimistic at http://maximumgrilledsteelers.com/ after the KC debacle.

Hm. Quite the pick you made for the Monday night game. So let me dissect this. You’re choosing the Saints over the Patriots because they lost to the Colts, most likely. The Saints are a great team, but have been calling close ones against some mediocre teams. They aren’t going undefeated, and their first loss will come this week. The Patriots played valiantly, and, just like every other New England team, they’ll bounce back, viciously. It will be a close game, but the Saints haven’t had the tough schedule the Pats had. For the Saints, this will be their first real test to legitimacy. To prove they are a legitimate contender, they’ll need to keep it close, rather than win.
