Eli Manning: My Least Favorite Qb
This is why I dislike the Giants "star" quarterback, Eli Manning.

Now let me start off by saying I’m an avid chargers fan… I know, I know, not the best thing to admit as of late, but that’s how the cookie crumbles. Now for those of you who follow the draft I’m sure you are starting to pick up on where I’m going with this, but for those who aren’t just keep reading. In 2004, when the younger of the two Manning brothers entered the draft, he was tauted as one of the best quarterbacks to come out of college in a long time; better than his brother. The Chargers – ‘03 cellar dwellers – “won” the first round pick and of course, they went with Eli. Now I bet you are wondering “why is this guy so upset if his team got such a good quarterback?” This is true, my team did pick up the top pick in the ‘04 draft, but Eli’s primadonna attitude persuaded him to answer the honor of being the first round draft pick by telling the Chargers if they didn’t trade him, he wouldn’t play. Manning then hand picked a few teams who he would play for, one being the Giants. This then leads me to expose why the hype comparing him to Peyton is ridiculousness. All this talk about Eli winning a super bowl earlier in his career is complete bull-hockey, why: Peyton went to the worst team in the league and built the team around himself which takes time, Eli went to a team that was already decent and just aided in their road to the Super Bowl. Isn’t the NFL draft set up to where the best player coming out goes to the team with the earliest pick? That’s what I thought.
Thanks for reading my rant and hopefully I have extended your knowledge ever so slightly about the happenings in the NFL.
