If the Tarheels can stay healthy, Butch Davis might have 2010’s surprise team.
The defense may very well be the best in the country, and will keep the Tarheels in games against the ACC big dogs. The offense was dismal at times last year, but the defense is literally good enough that it may not matter. If they get past LSU in the opener, they could easily still be undefeated going into their November 13 home meeting with Virginia Tech. Win that one and the Heels can start dreaming big.

Ok, I just got done viewing Mel Kiper. He basically said the Tar Heels have more pros then the Carolina Panthers. So why are we raed around 20. The fact that the defense was limp last er is no excuse with 10 starters back.
Its cause we have never done anything. And when you never do anything, no one thinks of you when your wnning. This isnt basketball with Jordan, Stackhouse, Williams, ad onward. This is a team afrid to get on the field with Florida State, Miami, any SEC team. We re use to flip-flopping with NC State as to who is 7-5, and who is 6-6. A forgotten bowl win, an we are smoking the finest tobacco a Duke graduate ever invented until sunup.
Lets talk season A 10-3 season, the sucess might blow our minds back to the Andy Griffith Show. At 11-2 I’m pumping gas wih Gomer Pyle. 12-1 I’m callin 911 I’m too excited. 13-0 they puttin dirt on me cause I died from the exsuberance of it all. You cant argue with medioracraty, its all we know out in the tobacco fields. Its like Its like my wife she’s beautiful, a 7-6 bowl win beautiful, if she was 13-0 would she be my wife, I dont know, I better ask a Tar Heel.
