The wheels really fell off after the tragic death of Chris Henry, and it was too bad; this was the best Bengals team since the days of Boomer.
Offense:
Cedric Benson was resurrected last year. If he can play at the same level, the offense should score with just about anyone. Antonio Bryant should open things up for Chad Johnson (still refuse to use that other name).
Defense:
The run defense will be among the NFL’s best. The pass defense struggles mid range. If they can improve in that area, they could once again find themselves in the AFC’s top tier.

Outlook:
It won’t be easy. The Schedule is stock full of playoff caliber teams. The Bengals could go 11-5 if everything clicks, or 6-10 if it doesn’t. More realistic: somewhere in the 9-7 range, and fighting for a playoff spot.
