An overview of a trip to the woodlands complex near Carlton Minniot in Yorkshire, it was a great day and I would love to share it with fellow anglers.

The woodlands complex has 13 well stocked lakes to chose from. We decided to fish the cockpheasant, a massive lake full of features islands and trees.
I decided to fish the pole on the bottom with a size 14 using corn and pellet and in a matter of milliseconds i was into a 1lb bream tench or carp, and at the end of my 4 hour session i had bagged up over 190 fish.
Mt brother on the other hand tried for bigger fish, and was successful, catching 11lb common carp almost istantly , followed by a 6lb mirror, a 4lb mirror, a 5 lb mirror , a 7lb barbel with a total catch of over 15 fish at the end of the day all taken on meat.
If you are just learning to fish what better way then to catch hundreds of one pounders on corn or thousands of 5oz on maggot, it truly is a dream.
