How to Fish the Weedline for Bass and Pike
Fishing the weed line is a very difficult thing to do.

One tip I say is put on a small rubber band around the head and on the barb of the hook. What that does for you is keeps it somewhat weed-less in case you do hit a snag. I usually like to be about 45 feet away from weed-line and cast about a foot from the edge of the weed beds. Let spinner bait sink for about 3 seconds and began the process of retrieving it. Reel slowly but not to slow and if you’re going for bigger fish like muskellunge reel fast because they like a fast moving baitfish.
If you are going for bass, rig up a Texas or Carolina rig. Weed-less of course. Cast it way into the shallows of the weeds and retrieve it jerking it around making noise for the bass to hear. If you think you have a strike count to one and RIP. When you get the bass to your boat, insert thumb in mouth, and fingers underneath, paralyzing it. Not hurting it, but just stunning the fish. If it is a Pike you have on, insert your hand in one of its gills underneath the red part.
