Fisher Fishes

In the sea, there exist fishes that go angling. How do they perform this?

There exist about 350 species of fisher fishes and every one of them possesses a sort of spike on their back which is used as a fishing rod.

When a fisher-fish is hungry, it pushes its spike forward over its head.

At the end of the spike, a small piece of flesh is suspended that acts as the bait.  For most of these fishes that live in deep waters, the hovering soft tissue is red in colour and takes the shape of the earth worm and is sometimes shining.  When a fish falls into the trap, the fisher-fish attracts the unlucky victim towards its mouth.  Suddenly, the former opens its mouth and swallows the whole fish in a go!
