Robert Craig “Evel” Knievel, Jr.
(October 17, 1938 – November 30, 2007) was the father of all American motorcycle daredevils, a mega entertainer who was famous in the US and elsewhere, with an amazing career that began during the late 1960s. Evel Knievel’s nationally televised motorcycle stunts, including his famed 1974 attempt to jump Snake River Canyon at Twin Falls, Idaho, represent four of the 20 most-watched ABC’s Wide World of Sports events to date.
