Airsoft is Dangerous
A little story about what happened with my airsoft grenade and why you should not use green gas.

It was a regular day at my friends house and we were airsofting with a few people being cautious with masks/other protection as usual. After a few rounds of team death match I decided “Hey why don’t I scare them a bit with my new grenade launcher!” so i filled it as your supposed to with the green gas (green gas is a mixture of propane and other chemicals used to propel the BB’s) had bought (or at least I think i did, considering when i bought the launcher attachment it did not come with any form of instructions or a manual as to how to use it/how much gas to fill it with) and halfway through the round I tried firing off my grenade launcher…nothing. Well I continued to play through the round without the grenade launcher. After the round I took the grenade shell out of the launcher to see if i did not screw the shell together tightly enough causing the gas to leak out. It was on VERY tight so no gas could have escaped, so I thought “maybe not ENOUGH gas?”. I filled it a bit more (A LITTLE LITTLE BIT!) and i tried firing it again and…nothing yet again. I was pretty pissed now because i though my brand new grenade launcher didn’t work (I had shot it many times before, just this was the first time I was planning on shooting at my friends). I was very wrong. As i was putting the grenade down to take a break the grenade discharged blowing a hole in my metal mesh screen mask hitting my eye! I was rushed to the hospital because I couldn’t see a thing out of my eye and I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to see ever again. Apparently I had a Hyphema which is blood in the eye caused by a blunt force (the BB) hitting the eye which makes it so you cannot see until the blood drains. I got to miss school for a week (very bad, lots of make-up work) couldn’t see out of one eye, and was not allowed to move off the couch for a week, only to go to the bathroom all because an Airsoft grenade decided it didnt like me anymore
Don’t shoot your eye out kiddies!!!
Below is a link of what a Hyphema looks like… pretty isn’t it?
