Bmx Racing

not all action sports have to break the bank.

 bmx has cost me less than a down payment on a hatchback and I’ve gone through 3 bikes.

bmx is great for getting your kids out of the house, out of trouble on the weekends, and to teach them a skill that can be used for the rest of their lives.

most areas have a local track or one not far from it. bmx is an extremely demanding sport both mentally and physically. all tracks have some form of medical help and the one i race at has weekly races. its a thrill, and it doesn’t take much to start.

i started bmx racing in January because i felt the need to compete with others. i also felt that i could train everyday by riding around town. bmx race bikes don’t have to cost upwards of 1700 dollars. i recently upgraded to a 23.4 pound Haro team issue pro XL that i put together out of my local bike shop for close to 400$ total.i race because i have an opportunity to display determination and hours of practice. all around bmx is great to stay active and healthy, along with a chance to be on the podium someday. my goal in racing is to be better, faster, stronger, and an all around better person.
