A Piece of Advice
In the whole life, an experience probably changes your fate. Sometimes a teacher gives us a lesson. As for me, it is just a piece of advice given by my father that has profound impacts on me.

Child as I was, timidity was my disastrous drawback. In primary school, I was too fearsome to answer teacher’s questions no matter they were easy or difficult. In a football match, neither can I face the rivals nor can I score a goal. It was all because I was afraid of facing failure.
In my eyes, failure is like a nightmare overwhelming my daily life. At the beginning of learning how to ride a bike, I fell off a thousand times. When I was writing homework, I made a lot of mistakes. When I took a bus, I got on the wrong bus.
One day, my father had a heart- to-heart talk with me. I could not clearly remember what my father said. But an advice has left in my mind for several years till now. Namely, “failure is not nightmare but the mother of success; be brave, and you will get more.”
Suddenly, an idea passed through my mind and I realized that what I should do was to overcome drawbacks. I should believe that I was not a loser but maybe a success in the future. From then on, I do my utmost catching up with others. When I fall up from my bike, I don’t cry any more. I try again and again until I learn how to ride it. When I make mistakes in my homework, I correct again and again.
Life is full of ups and downs. Failure isn’t nightmare. Failure is the mother of success. Be brave, and we will get more. I will cherish my whole life what my father says to me.
