have guessed it was Wasim Akram the master of reverse swing. He was one of the best bowlers for his team and the whole world.

Well, who was Wasim akram and who did he play for?
Wasim Akram was a former player for Pakistan’s team from 1984-2003. He was born in Lahore to a Punjabi speaking family in pakistan, He was educated at Islamia Collage Lahore.
He began his career in 1984 in one-day international (ODI) against New zealand, b
ut he found success in Test cricket against new zealand in 1985 where he made an Such a huge impact, it felt like he took 10 wickets and later his career earned a name Sultan of Swing and England fan called him Wasim for England due to him playing domestic cricket in England and one of the best overseas ever had!
Turning point in his life was when he played in West indies in 1980s, which caused him a serious groin injury, later he returned with a huge surprise, he became the master of swing and control rather speed which he was known for back in his earlier career.
He later retired from all form ofcricket in 2003 due to old age and diabetes.

* Named Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1993
Records:
* In his Test career, Wasim took 414 wickets in 104 matches, a Pakistani record, at an average of 23.62, and scored 2,898 runs, at an average of 22.64
* In One Day Internationals, Wasim took 502 wickets in 356 appearances, at an average of 23.52, and scored 3,717 runs, at an average of 16.52.
* Wasim was the first bowler in international cricket to take more than 400 wickets in both forms of the game, and only Muttiah Muralitharan has since achieved this.
* Wasim also held the record for the most wickets in Cricket World Cups — a total of 55 in 38 matches. Australia’s Glenn McGrath broke the record during the 2007 World Cup, ending with a final tally of 71 from 39 matches.
* Uniquely, Wasim took four hat-tricks in international cricket, two each in Tests and ODIs. He is one of only three bowlers to have taken two Test hat-tricks (the others being Hugh Trumble and Jimmy Matthews),
* Playing in a Test against the West Indies at Lahore in 1990-91, he became one of only six players to have taken four wickets in an over during a Test match.
* Wasim has also achieved the highest score by a number eight batsman in Test cricket — 257 not out from 363 balls against Zimbabwe at Sheikhupura
* He also has the third highest number of Man of the Match awards in Test cricket
Recently, his wife Hum Akram died while going to Singapore due to organ failure, but he has 2 sons named Akbar and Tamiur.
