Male Gets Cheerleading Team Disqualified From Competition

Because he’s a boy. Seriously?

I just found this on Yahoo, and I started dying instant with how sexist this sounded. So according to whatever school this is, they aren’t allowed to have boys on their team. Why is that? If men want to be cheerleaders, by all means, let them be cheerleaders. They should have the right to be whatever the fuck they want to be. I don’t understand why they would even say something like that to the boy because they shouldn’t have a right to say something like that to him in the first place. It’s like they’re discriminating him for being a guy. That’s like saying girls can’t play football, which for the record, I see girls do almost all the time. Why can girls play on boy teams but boys can’t be on a cheerleading squad? This is apparently the rules of a competition in Michigan. Now, what fucking type of rule is that? Someone needs to say something about that, like seriously. That isn’t right, and that shouldn’t even be a rule in that competition. There are plenty of other states though who will take that boy’s talent and say “Hey, he’s pretty good. Why don’t we give him a scholarship for his academic achievements?” If only these types of people didn’t exist, this would be so much better. I can’t stand the type of people that would discriminate because of gender, or because of sexual orientation, or what they like to do, or what type of music they listen to. This is America. Last time I checked, there was no law stating that we all had to be carbon copies of each other. This is just so wrong.
