Freeda George Foreman is the daughter of boxer George Foreman. She also became a boxer in women’s boxing. It is said that she retired from boxing. I never got a chance to see Freeda box. I never knew she was a boxer until I saw the fight of Laila Ali and Jackie Frazier. That’s when Freeda’s name came up a little. When Laila Ali was about to step down out of the ring, I often wondered where Freeda was. I was hoping that she would pop up and give Laila a good fight, but I guess by then, she had already retired.
Guess what Freeda is doing now. She is now pursuing a career as a writer, and is also pursuing a career as a producer in the television industry. Maybe she could finish opening the door for women’s boxing to be aired on television somehow.
Freeda has great writing skills. She has a blog at freedageorgeforeman.com/Blog/, and a website at freedageorgeforeman.com. On her blog she talks about things like General Motors. The name of the article is “Are We Our Brother’s Keeper?” (The Bailout). I enjoy her writing. Maybe Freeda was meant to be out of the ring. She’s too smart to be getting those punches in the head. Freeda has too much of a great mind. I believe that she will succeed in all that she can do.
