The Fight of The Century

There are no fights in boxing that draw the interest of die hard and casual fans alike other than Paquiao and Mayweather.

The story lines are perfect.

Paquiao the humble Filippino who always compliments his opponents and makes people chuckle at his endearing smile.

Mayweather, the cocky pugilist who has no problems telling you how much better he is than his opponents and makes non fans furious with his arrogant and percectl white teethed smile.

They have fought three of the same opponents who also happen to be three of the best fighters in the current era in Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Juan Manuel Marquez.

They have beaten all three.

Even more intriguing is the fact that while Mayweather was not able to knock out De LA Hoya and took eight rounds to knock out Hatton, he did have a decisive victory over Marquez, something Paquiao was unable to do in two attempts.

All of this means nothing though when you consider that they are probably the two fastest fighters in their weight class and while paquiao may be a bit stronger and more agressive, Mayweather is a better counter puncher and defensive fighter.

I will be spending the pay per view money on this fight, unless there is some way I can come up with tickets.

What I wont be doing is betting on this fight.

Paquiao will probably come out as a slight favorite in this fight and because of that reason, I would bet on Mayweather winning by decision
