Sonny Liston
The mobster connection.

Sonny Liston took a while to get a boxing match. Allegedly, because the mobster connections. But he’s not the first to be associated when the gangsters of old. Many well know boxers were. A good majority was deep into association with them.
But he was what some consider the gangster boy. Told what to do. And how to do it. And when to do it. So some matches in certain matches, I can’t say his probably was fixed. I know by viewing the Cassius Clay versus Sonny Liston first match do make you question certain aspects. Why didn’t he come out to fight Clay? He don’t look too hurt. And he just setting their and not breathing too hard. Only recently did I learned, while fighting Clay. His corner-men put a solution on his glove to try to help speed the match up. A solution that was later banned in the sixties.
And the second match was just as fake as the first. Did the mob order him to throw that match too? Being in the hands on the mob wasn’t a good thing under any circumstances. But his death probably need to be re-investigated. Because for a man who’s afraid of needles. There’s no way I believe his death was by cocaine or any other drugs. There’s just something suspicious about that.
The background history of his phobias speaks that.
