Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr was born on January 17,1942, in Louisville Kentucky. He was one of the greatest boxers alive. He began boxing at the age 12 by a police officer. Cassius went professional in 1960 and defeated Tunney Hunsaker in six rounds. In 1964, Cassius defeated Sonny Liston, and became the heavyweight champion of the world. He joined the Nation of Islam and changed his name to Muhammad Ali.

Muhammad had a lot of kids, with different women, But then he decided to calm down and settle down. His wives were Sonji Roi, Belinda Boyd, Veronica Porche, Yolanda Williams. His daughters where Rasheeda and Jamilla and Maryum with Belinda Boyd, Miya, Khalilah, Hana, and Laila with Veronica Porche, and his sons where Muhammad, Jr. with Belinda Boyd and Asaad which he was adopted with Yolanda Williams.

Even though Muhammad Ali was good in the ring, he wasn’t good at school. He barely studied and when he had homework he rather went to the rings. He got his high school diploma but never went to college. He graduated in 1960.

After high school Ali went to boxing. He went to get two national Golden Gloves championships, two national Amateur Athletic Union boxing titles, and a gold medal in the light heavyweight bracket at the 1960. He also did some advertisements for Coke-a-Cola and Kodak. He earned 5 million when he knocked out the American boxer George Foreman. Even though his only occupation was

Muhammad Ali is still alive today. He is battling Parkinson disease. His first symptoms were tremors and his slurring in his speech. Some people think it is because he got to many punches in the head. He is supporting his daughter Laila Ali, a former boxer. He also walked her on her wedding.
