The Philadelphia 76ers

The philadelphia 76ers aer a prospreous team who had made a late run to make the playoffs last season. During the offseason the Sixers made a huge move by signing Elton Brand from the Los Angelos Clippers. They looked good going into the 08-09 season. BUt unfortunately they started to struggle early on and had a dismal record of 13-20. Elton Brand was once again injured and when he played the Sixers did not perform that well. He did did not belong into the sixers style of play which of course is running the fast break. Soon the sixers started the a streak that suprised everyone.

They went on a 7 game win streak crushing legit playoff teams and also some weaker teams. All good things must come to an end as on Martin Luther King Jr. Day the sixers lost to the Dallas Mavericks. The sixers were up 4 at halftime, but a strong 3rd quarter gave the Mavericks a boost they needed. But the 76ers were still at it as they chipped away a 12 point deficit with only 2 minutes remaining. The game came down to a final posession where Dirk Nowitzki hit a buzzer beater to win the game and it shocked the sixers. But as the sixers have a 4 day break they will soon realize that they can play with the elite teams in the NBA and contend for the dream that every team goes for. winning the NBA FINALS.
