Jeremy Lin had a season’s setback when an injury knocked him out but Linsanity and the hype surrounding him was huge, soaring his jersey sales, beating other NBA players within the regular National Basketball Association season. Lin’s Jerseys made vast sales right from that February moment the NBA icon became a part of the normal New York Knick’s player rotation, making the jersey second in rank in terms of sales by last year.

Apart from Lin’s Jersey, coming closely second was Chicago Bull’s Derrick Rose as NBA’s Store in Fifth Avenue, New York City and online, depicted. Last season, Rose took home the MVP award with his team making it to the coveted Eastern Conference Finals, where the Bulls lost to Miami Heat in just five games.

In other words, NBA fans using their credit cards spoke through topping the jerseys sales of both Jeremy Lin and Derrick Rose. To many, Jeremy Lin, an overnight sensation rose above his team mates in New York Knicks to make it to the list of those with the most jersey sales. However, the jersey sales did not stop at Rose and Lin since other NBA maestros had significant sales.

Kobe Bryant had held the top spot in the game since 2001 and seems to have amassed faithful number of fans in six years and was third in the list. Ranked fourth was Lebron James, who had perhaps the best season this year, earning the MVP title that he had already pursued for a couple of seasons now. The Linsanity effect might have had an effect on a number of players, perhaps what made Carmelo Anthony’s jersey to rank fifth in terms of sales. Heat’s Dwyane Wade was ranked sixth as Dirk Nowitzki from the Mavericks became a surprise seventh in terms of sales. It is worth remember that Nowitzki was at the middle of the action after he helped Dallas Mavericks take the NBA crown in June, and it was his first time to hit the list since 2008.

Thunders’ Kevin Durant became 8th in the listing of the most popular basketball jerseys this season, with fans also believed to be waiting to purchase his London Olympic jersey. Clipper’s first representation on the list of the best 15 basketball jersey sellers was at number nine in the person of Blake Griffin. Also, Celtic’s first in the list was closely following the Clipper’s, represented by Rajon Rondo.

The Knicks were also represented by Lin’s team mate Amare Stoudemire who was ranked 11th within the jersey list, advancing two spots to number 2 in terms of the team list. Rondo was not alone in the list as two of his Celtic comrades closely followed one another, as Ray Allen and Paul Pierce were 12th and 13th respectively.

The only Magic player to hit the list of the most popular and best selling jerseys was Dwight Howard at number 14 as Clipper’s Chris Paul closed the list of the top fifteen.

This year, Adidas marked its sixth season apparel provider of the official uniform on the court for the NBA, as fans start searching for a new look to support their favorite icons.
