Seven Awesome Uses for a Basketball

I’ve been searching Triond for popular articles, and a few of them are about uses of a random object. I thought that I’d give it a shot. Today’s random object: a basketball. Spalding to be exact.

A Weapon

Ever wanted a decent weapon? Nothing too heavy like a sword or tree branch, or nothing too light like a stone or pepper? Something that could never backfire, and be collected easily? Use a basketball. What else? Fling it at the enemy, and it will hit them, and simply bounce back to you to be used again. Beware, you need good aim for this. If you miss, you can technically say FAIL.

A good drawing board

A basketball will probably be big enough to keep you occupied for a while by drawing on it. A basketball with no grip and completely smooth on each side will be the best. Take any permanent marker, sketch a few cartoons on it, use up your time when bored for something creative. When you use it for gameplay, it will look like you are playing basketball with your own personal drawing pad. Ain’t that neat? Bad side: If you use one with a grip the drawing won’t turn out too well. If you use a random pencil or pen it will get messed up, both the basketball and drawing utencil. Can’t be used again to draw on, unless you want to overdo the first drawing.

Slit a hole in each one (Wrist size) to use as boxing gloves

A perfect object for boxing! It’s big and round and can probably inflict some good damage if you have a strong hand. It can also shield you from other attacks. There will be a lot of space in the interior of the basketball so there won’t be any complaints about tightness. No need to use boxing gloves anymore, simply use two basketballs instead.

Cut in half- you can get a good pair of shoes

Can’t get the shoes you really want? Just take a good knife, slice a basketball into two equal halves, and tape your feet to the interior of each half, and you’ll have some neat shoes. Good for walking, and they’ll never get spoiled as a basketball is dribbled onto the floor all the time during gameplay, nothing happens right? You’ll also be able to kick pretty well with them. Probably.

Cut in half- a good hat

You want to make a new trend? Cut it in half with a good knife, throw the dirtier half away, and use the other half as a hat. Snazzy isn’t it? Except maybe a few people may mistake you for a basketball and dribble you headfirst onto the hard floor. Ouch. Ok, forget about this idea.

Cut in half- excellent fruit bowl

Did your fruit bowl just break? No need to waste money on a new one, simply use one half of a basketball! Make sure the interior is cleaned well, and then place the fruits in it, it will probably be big enough. Just make sure it’s balanced well or else the fruits will roll off constantly. And it comes with a special feature! When the fruits are placed well in the basketball, just use the other half as a lid! It will prevent insects from eating the fruits,and will prevent the fruits from rolling off. What an outstanding product!

As simple as the title itself. No need to be creative this time, just go with the original use.
