The two teams who will play in the NBA finals are finally drawn in the scoreboard. It will be Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers who will have a showdown on this year’s finals. The dream match between Kobe Bryant and Lebron James will only be a dream for all NBA fans. Maybe next year the dream match will come into reality.

Meanwhile I am happy to see the Orlando Magic, considered as an underdog, snatched a slot for the finals. Although Lebron James is a great player, Orlando is a greater team. Basketball cannot be won by a single player alone. It is still a team sport. Teamwork will definitely be a key to success.

Like the Boston Celtics who has Big Three on their lineup, Orlando Magic has its own Big Three- Hedo Turkoglu, Rashard Lewis and Dwight Howard. I hope these three can duplicate what Garnett, Pierce and Allen had accomplished last year. Let the Orlando’s magic be cast to the Lakers.

Speaking of Kevin Garnett, he underwent surgery on his right knee. The arthroscopic surgery to remove bone spurs from the knee of the 12-time all-star was a success, said Boston team president Danny Ainge.

Garnett averaged 15.8 points and 8.5 rebounds in 57 regular season games but was unable to play in their first round win over Chicago and seven-game loss to the Orlando Magic in the quarter-finals.

Garnett played a key role in last year’s playoffs, leading the Celtics to a National Basketball Association championship.

Well the Magic didn’t look so good tonight, but it is only one game. Hopefully they rebound and win game 2. Brian
