My Thoughts on the NBA Playoffs as of May 18th

Sunday, May 17th, was a great daya and horrible day. Boston lost to Orlando and Houston lost(not just lost, they were crushed) to LA. Now the four teams going into their conference finals are Orlando and Cleveland for the East and LA and Denver for the West.

My home team, Jazz, lost in the first round to LA. After the Jazz lost, I started rooting for Orlando. Orlando played a great first round against Philidelphia. They earned it. When they won the 1st game againist Boston, I was hooked to the series. Boston is a good team, but I knew in the First round when they were playing Chicago, they weren’t going to make. That series has been the Best series this playoffs.

For the past few years, the West division has been dominating the NBA with great teams and Coaches. This season there fire is running dim. I think that its not that the West teams aren’t good anymore, I think east has gotten better. Houston did a great job this year. They had an exciting series againist a surpisingly good portland team. Then they got too game 7 with one of their star players, Yao Ming, out with for the rest of the playoffs. LA does good when Kobe does good. Sure Gasol and Odom have had a great playoff season, but if Kobe doesn’t have it, LA won’t do good. You can tell by how they played the rockets. I do not think they will be able to beat denver.

I think the two teams will be Cleveland and Denver in the Finals. With Cleveland taking it.
