Euroleague Champion for the 5th time in the history of Panathinaikos, in Berlin, two years after the coronation in OAKA.

The epic final,was against the holder of the title, CSKA Moscow, which was beaten by the Greek side by 73-71, like in the Athens final in 2007.

7 Euroleague titles reached by the technician of the “green” empire in the Greek and European basketball, Zelimir Obradovic.

Panathinaikos was ahead by 23 points halfway through the third period, but the Russians turned the match into a thriller during last seconds.

A spectacular display from Panathinaikos in the first part built difference of 20 points at half-time, but it vanished by CSKA who made the game a derby, as appropriate to the final of the leading European club organization.

But in the end, Panathinaikos showed that he deserved the title and won by a 2-point lead with final score 73-71.

MVP of the “Final 4″ was Vasilis Spanoulis who had 13 points in the final, as many as Antonis Fwtsis scored.
