The Bush League Antics of Kevin Youkillis

Kevin Youkillis picked the wrong time of the season to charge the mound and who will suffer? The Boston Red Sox and Red Sox Nation.

Suspensions were handed down for the Bush League Antics in the game between Boston and Detroit. I would have to say Youkillis suspension was justified for the crap he pulled whereas Rick Porcello suspension was unfair and perhaps new suspension rules need to be created for starting pitchers. I hope Mr. Bud Selig reads this.

First lets a look at the little league playtime that we as fans were subject too, Kevin Youkillis;

Do you realize the Red Sox are in the midst of an extremely serious race? Granted the act may “in a sense” however the timing was way off base as well as the choice of the player.

You know who you are Kevin; you know what you mean to the Red Sox. You must have known what a lose such as your presence would mean to the Sox. We are in a race Kevin. A very serious race. To lose a player like you is going to hurt. You must have known you would get a minimum five game suspension and you did. Thank the baseball gods for two things Kevin;

  1. Suspension is not during the Yankees series and,
  2. Lowell is picking up some slack.

Looks like you will owe him a steak dinner when all this is said and done.

Throwing your helmet at Porcello? Bush one, professionalism zero. We must win every possible game we can and you get suspended. Bush two, professionalism zero. Then you charge the mound, a big man who looks like a southern farm boy with tattoos and that menacing goatee and as fans we felt bad for Porcello.It appeared he was going to get trashed, but oh no. He took you down Kevin. Bush three, professionalism zero.
